Picture perfect memories,
Burned deep inside my mind.
So I sit here feeling broken,
As I sip my glass of wine.

You were my true love,
The one that got away,
Never to return to me,
And love wont find a way.

Feel my heartache,
Through each spoken word.
I know you’re happy with her,
At least thats what i’ve heard.

Don’t forget me my love
Even though she has your heart.
I remember when we promised,
That we would never part.

Just give me one last kiss,
While our love lays dying,
I want to make you stay,
But whats the use in trying.

So this is the end,
I’ll try not to cry.
As you walk away,

to my happy place
where he was there

He left me here,
In the dark, in the cold,
Left my heart beside me,
Rotten and holed.
It just lays there,
On the ground.,
With no beating,
No thumping sound.
As I cry,
My tears freeze to my face,
While I lay here,
Waiting for death’s embrace.
He already killed
My heart and my mind
So when death comes,
It’ll take him no time
To scoop up my body,
Lifeless and numb,
And drop it down,
After taking my lost-soul scum.

I feel no regret i feel no sadness and no pity for the one who drove me away.
It was for the best, and always will be and i’m sorry but i will never want you back.
The way you treated me was disrespectful, and I was always still nice to you because thats who i am but apparently you never even cared for me from the start so I kind of just wasted my time…. I shall never feel pity for you ever again….

I tried to see you through my glass,
I guess I tried too fast.
I convinced myself you were the one,
even when the cracks begun.
Now my glass is shattered,
and I only have myself to blame.
I should’ve known,
no matter how hard I tried,
I couldn’t make you tame.

So what are you standing there for,
I thought this was what you desired?
Please, go away and never return,
because I’m awfully tired.

You’ve shattered my glass,
and it’s likely I can’t glue it back together.
Now go away so I can fix it,
and prepare for stormy weather.

I sigh as I play the things I wrote for you.

I stuck you with duct tape to make sure you’d stay
Globs of super glue seemed to be the best way
I love you’s and only’s worked fairly well too
I did everything I could to delay our adieu

Your wrap said non-toxic and so I believed
Never thought that you’d lie, call me oh so naive
I was so glued to you, you were velcroed to me
And as I tried to keep you, I watched your retreat

But now that you’re gone, some bits stayed behind
The stupid stuffed animals, things we tried to hide
The security I had sticks tight to my skin
Some parts of me gone, new ones hard to begin

His sweater is all I have left of him
My only proof he ever existed
The only evidence that he once adored me

I sleep with it at night
And pretend the sleeves are his arms
Holding me tight
I breathe in the fragrance
Before it fades away
Not from the fabric but from my memory

You could smell that blue sweater
And not smell a thing
But when I get close to it
I can smell everything;
The memories we once shared
Back when he used to care
Before I had these nightmares
Where I couldn’t run away
From this ache in my chest so great
I would cry out from the pain
But all he could do was laugh in my face

My voice must now be forgotten
My face no longer remembered by him…

The pain is still present
Because our love is no longer shared
But I can sleep at night
Because his sweater is still there

I dream of ignoring you everyday for the next month as I walk down the hall.
I constantly have the thought of one day slapping you dead in the face.
I never thought I could ever be that mad at you.

But I am.
You are the source of my pain these past days.
You toy’d with my emotions and somehow expect me to be okay with it.

I couldn’t understand how it is humanly possible to feel one way about a person,
And the next day,
Change it all.

But I do now.
I learned that it was nothing but wasted time on you.
I thought you were special,
But you’re not.

I learned to not judge a book by it’s cover.
Even if the judgment is good.
‘Cause you weren’t.

I’m not really in the mood to stay friends with you even if you think it’s a great idea.
It would probably be another waste of my time.
