One knows they should have been
open from the start,
Be honest about not being true,
went and tore us apart.
I really expected nothing less as
people around here are never true.
When it comes to cheating, lying, doing
wrong, it is what they love to do.
I see it everywhere I look, There is no
loyalty in people here,
That is why I cried my many sad
and lonely tears.
You though have a wonderful heart!
you could not keep away,
Then you could not lie anymore,
here you are to stay.
Being open, honest and that says
That is why I yearn for your tender,
As you reach out with honesty so
So here I am to caress you
and dry your crying eyes.

One knows they should have been
Won’t miss this last boat home
Your smile and apology reminds me that I’m not alone
I’m pushing myself to leave this spot
I can handle it all but one thing I’ll miss is
Late night is when you call
Your laugh reminds me of walking down to your room
The things I would do to still have your heart
I can handle a lot but hate this part
The one thing I miss is
in your eyes

Saying goodbye to you
Meant having to let go of everything wonderful I knew
And questioning life and asking why
And praying one day I will again see blue skies
I still wake up at nights and see your face
You are right there…then realize it’s just empty space
My emotions then change from elation to sadness
Then force myself to get out of bed, for another day of the madness
I think of you all the time, when I know I should not
And try to keep myself from thinking of the things I forgot
I try to focus on moving forward and the task at hand
And keep my new reality in perspective so I can comprehend
The times we shared were so special they still brings tears however
And I’ll keep those wonderful moments with me in my heart forever
If I had the same chance again, my friends ask – what I would do
The Answer is quite simple, I would do it all over again…without ever saying goodbye to you

Her eyes tell a story.
A broken heart,
The pain of living,
A brand new start.
Her solemn expression,
Her readiness to cry,
Her willingness to laugh,
She’s not afraid to die.
Her story is a trail,
One of never ending tears.
Of people loved, and lost
Over her few years.
A brother who’s now an angel,
A mother who didn’t care,
A father who tried,
But was never really there.
Her heart is set on living
Until the day she dies.
She lives for the love
Of the one that’s in the skies.
“I’ll see you again, little one.
Let’s just hope not one day too soon.”
She smiles as she whispers this prayer
While staring up at the moon.
Her Angel hears her every word.
He smiles down from above.
“Thanks big sis.” he says,
“I’ll see you one day, my love.”

You’re the jealous one,
the one who envies all.
Although you now care,
I’ve got no more feelings for you.
I’ve found someone else
to lean upon,
someone else to help me through,
and I’ll tell you right now
it’s nowhere near you.
You used to be my right arm,
you used to be a part of me.
Now you’re more like a severed limb,
lost and uncared for.
Never again will you be
one with me.
Never one and the same,
all because we’re shaping up to be
all that you wish you could’ve been.
