If I could paint a picture of you
It would take some time to ponder
For haste I dash, it just won’t do
I must leave my mind to wander

To take in those almond brown eyes
Tracing the fine curves of that face
Your essence of love a subtle surprise
More tender and softer than lace

With brush in hand I wobble to stand
For I’m drunk with pure adoration
For one so grand in all this fine land
As patriot would love their nation

So for this I attest,I will do my best
To paint a fine portrait so true
With heart I invest, love fills it’s crest
that flows from the thoughts of you
